HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC COMPLETES SUCCESSFUL LACROSSE
SEASON
The Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School team completed a
successful season of lacrosse recently. Led by head
coach Ken Dorcy, the Bulldogs finished 10-6, after starting
the season with a 1-4 record. Dorcy and assistant coach Eddie
Levins managed to find significant playing time for all 38
players in each game, a tough task for any lacrosse coach.
“I wish we could have played the first half of the
season over again,” Dorcy said. “We learned a
lot from those first five games and managed to turn the season
around and finish 9-2 in the last eleven games. I am
real proud of being able to have played all 38 boys on the
team. We were able to take kids from all skill sets and work
them into different lines. By the end of the season,
we had built a pretty solid team.”
On the final day of the season, the Bulldogs played two
games, beating Charlotte Prep by a score of 15-1 and then
losing to a very strong Cyclones Lacrosse team, 7-0.
The team of 38 were built with a mix of seventh and eighth
graders at Holy Trinity Catholic Middle School
