HQ4 BASEBALL DELIVERS FUNADAMENTAL BASED BASEBALL

No matter how one chooses to look at the month of July in Charlotte, it’s going to be hot.  Ninety degree plus days are common with high humidity.  Despite these obstacles, many young athletes in South Charlotte will attend various sport camps throughout the summer.  These committed athletes are searching for the knowledge to become better at their chosen game.

Many area baseball players chose the HQ4 Baseball camps offered this summer.  Led by one of the top high school baseball coaches in North Carolina, Hal Bagwell, the camp delivers on its promise of improving baseball fundamentals.  Each player is taught the fundamentals of throwing, hitting and catching the baseball.  The players receive three days of focus on their primary position and two days on a secondary position.  The top-notch coaching staff works extremely hard to improve each player at their positions.

“We do a lot of situational work here at our camps, we work hard on team defense during our defensive sessions,” said Bagwell. “We also work on each players hitting skills following a natural progression. We begin with hitting off the tee, then we work on flat toss and move onto live batting practice,  We work hard with each child on their swing.”
In addition to Bagwell, the new coach at Ardrey-Kell High School, the campers receive instruction from Chet Greeson, Head Coach at East Mecklenburg High School, Danny Hignight, Head Coach at Providence High School,  Danny Bilotta, JV Coach at East Mecklenburg High School, in addition to many other top high school coaches in the area.
Marty Barker and Al Dahlgren, co-owners of HQ4 Baseball work hard to provide a camp for everyone to enjoy.

“We want to provide players with an opportunity to learn how to play the game of baseball,” said Dahlgren. “We hire the best staff out there and provide an opportunity conducive to learning more about baseball.  Some of our instructors are among the best in the state,  and they do a great job with all the kids.”

In addition to the successful baseball camps, HQ4 Baseball operates year round from their facility located at 1328-A Crossbeam Road in Charlotte. Their 12,000 square foot indoor training facility contains 6 batting cages, 3 soft toss areas and 6 natural dirt pitching mounds. A space is also designated for infield practice, base running and other group baseball drills.  Many different individual and team training packages our offered.

HQ4 Baseball offers a unique waiting area for parents and siblings of baseball players.  Inside you will find satellite television, games, puzzles and DSL internet service.

Dahlgren stresses that they want all levels of baseball players to visit HQ4 Baseball.

“A kid doesn’t have to be the best out there to come work with us, we want all kinds of player and we simply want to make them better baseball players.  We love working with the kids that struggle to hit the ball. It’s so rewarding when we can work with those players and help them to learn how to hit the ball on a regular basis. We want to invite everyone in the area to come take a look at what we have to offer.”

Regardless of your level of baseball, make sure you take a look at the many programs offered at HQ4 Baseball.  Without a doubt, there is something for every single player in the area at HQ4 Baseball.  For more information, please visit their website at www.hq4baseball.com or call 704-423-0030
