JAY M. ROBINSON VOLLEYBALL COMPLETES UNDEFEATED SEASON

Winning volleyball games at Jay M. Robinson has become routine.  Head Coach Judy Dewalt and her Chargers volleyball team recently finished a 14-0 conference championship season. Last season, the Chargers were also undefeated with a 12-0 record.

Team MVP Liska Dobberstein led the Chargers from start to finish.  According to Coach Dewalt, Liska is a super floor leader and a difference maker on the court.  Liska credits her success to being a part of a super team.

“We had so many serving streaks this year.  Our team practices a lot and Coach Dewalt is such a good coach.  This year was a lot of fun for everyone on the team.”

Kari Moran, also an 8th grader, believes teamwork was a key to the season.

“We all played together really well. We practiced nearly everyday and it helped us.”

Coach Dewalt delivered an important message to the Chargers throughout the season.

“I told the team we needed to do what others don’t want to do to make a difference. They responded and we had a wonderful season.

These young players will now move onto Ardrey Kell and Providence High Schools to continue their winning ways.  The South Charlotte Sports Report congratulates The Jay M. Robinson Middle School for a wonderful year of volleyball.
