COMMUNITY HOUSE MIDDLE SCHOOL CHEERLEADING TEAM BRINGS THE SPIRIT

The Inaugural Community House Middle School Cheerleading Team recently concluded a very successful season. Led by Head Coach Heather Phelps and assistant Leslie Wagoner, the cheerleaders delivered the spirit all season long for the Cavalier Teams.  Regardless of the score, these young ladies worked hard to create a positive atmosphere at Community House Middle School.

Seventh grader Morgan Wray enjoyed her season on the team.

“I was really proud to be a part of the first ever cheerleading team at Community House. We created a lot of new cheers that will be passed down for many years.”

Coach Phelps and the girls overcame the challenge of building a team from scratch. The team designed their cheers and dances and worked hard in every practice.

The hard work paid off when the team brought home a big trophy from a recent National Cheerleading Competition held here in Charlotte.

Jazzmin Wood was real excited about the trophy.

“It felt special to go to the competition and do so well for our school. The trophy we won was really big!”

Hats off to the entire Community House Middle School Cheerleading Team for a job well done!  The spirit is clear for all to see at CHMS!
