The only 'home' wheelchair basketball tournament this season for Junior players is coming up this weekend (December 15-16th) in Concord. See game schedule below.
Abilities Unlimited of the Carolinas is hosting the 3rd Annual Winter Classic Wheelchair Basketball Tournament this weekend at the Cabarrus County Boys & Girls Club in Concord, NC. Take Interstate 85 North to exit 58, head towards Concord and look for the Winter Classic Signs.
The teams are coming from Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA, our Charlotte based teams, and Macon, GA.
The premier game is between the Charlotte Junior Varsity and the Atlanta Eagles JV at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Rufus Lynx from the Charlotte Bobcats will be on-site to help cheer the Rollin' Bobcats on to victory. The Prep team finished 4th in the nation last season and is undefeated so far this year. The Junior Varsity team has a 2-1 record so far this season with the only loss coming to last season's older Varsity National Runner-up Lakeshore Lakers from Birmingham, AL.
